Once your site has been built by us and gone live on the web (indexed) then you will be offered our website maintaining service and quoted a fixed monthly subscription which should cover all the anticipated maintenance work you will require for the year. By spreading the cost over the year you benefit from low affordable payments made at regular intervals coupled with the knowledge that your site will always contain the content you require. If you take up our offer then updating your site is as simple as sending our team your requested changes via email - we do the rest. If your site is going to be hosted by us then this service can also cover the "back-end" services such as the setting up of new email address, data bases, forwarders and responders and even adding new pages. How much does it cost? It is very hard to place an exact figure that will cover all sites simply because no two websites are the same so the best we can give here is a general guide. A fixed quote will always be provided to you before you sign up for the service, this quote will be unique to you. At present our technicians are charged out at £50.00 per hour for clients who do not have an account with us and require just one off jobs. Customers who have had a site built by us will see this hourly rate reduced to £40.00 for one off jobs. Those who also have the site we have built for them also hosted by us will see this charge drop to just £30 an hour without a subscription. Customers who have their website both built and hosted by us and choose to have the site maintained by us will see this charge drop to an incredibly low rate of just £15 and hour and the cost spread over 12 months. We offer this great price for two reasons firstly we like to reward customer loyalty and secondly because we know we have the funds coming in we can budget for it. Some example costs You have a 5 page site hosted and built by us then we would anticipate three hours work over the year updating the site that is £45 a year chargeable a year so divide 45 by 12 and your subscription would be just £3.75 a month. A 12 page commercial site again originally built by us and hosted on our servers which is selling products and not services would need as much as two hours maintaining a month so would have a monthly subscription fee of £30. All work is chargeable by the quarter of an hour and to the nearest next quarter. So one off jobs for none build customers of ours would for an addition of a simple email account (takes 10 minutes when know what you are doing) would be invoiced for £12.50 - 10 minutes worked taken up to the next charging period, first quarter of and hour. A subscriber matching the first example would pay no more than the quoted monthly fee of £3.75, for monitoring purposes we would record a cost of just £0.94 these recorded costs would then be used to quote for the next 12 months subscription. Greater savings can be made by you if you request multiple changes to be made at the same time simply because our technicians time would be concentrated on performing the tasks requested and not on constantly opening and shutting accounts.
